DEVELOPING A SUSTAINABLE TOURISM VILLAGE MODEL: AN EXPLORATORY STUDY

Studies on sustainable tourism villages (STV) development highlighted the role of community-based (CBT) and social entrepreneurship (SE). Previous studies mostly focused com­mu­ni­ty but neglected management, which became research gap this study. The aim study was to investigate contributions CBT, SE, management in sustaining a village. This used qualitative method, so data were collected through focus group discussions in-depth interviews with key players Kaki Langit Mangunan Tourism Village, Yogyakarta. results showed that involvement integration CBT SE crucial achieving STV. Finally, STV also required professionalism ma­na­gement.
